On March 2-3, 2024 the season finale for our youth skiers, the annual BKL Festival, will take place at Rikert Outdoor Center in Middlebury Vermont. The theme is “Myths in the Mountains” and will be a celebration of fables in the wintry mountains. Driving through the mountains, you may lose cell service so download maps.

Dates:

Fri March 1 (evening) – Sun March 3 (afternoon). Please plan to arrive Friday evening.

Friday from 1:00-4:30 pm, the course at Rikert will be open for preview. You're welcome to ski the course if you arrive during that time - but don’t feel compelled to arrive early, as there will be course tours on Saturday morning. (Parents must purchase a pass for $25 for the weekend; racers’ passes are included in registration.)

Saturday 5-6:45pm is our EMXC club dinner at Mary Hogan Elementary School, in central Middlebury. Please RSVP by Monday Feb 26th. Club Meeting follows at 6:15pm.

If you have an unexpected change of plans, and your skier signed up for the relay, but won't be able to participate, PLEASE email Erica (youth@emxc.org) by Friday night. Please don't leave your EMXC Relay partners without their team mate!

How to get your skier's skis ready? Read this: EMXC Festival Ski Prep.

  • Snacks to share
  • Adult skis
  • Local maps downloaded and screen shots of EMXC Schedule
