Here's where you'll find info about preparing and going to this year's BKL Festival at Quarry Road Trails in Waterville, ME
Important dates/times to add to your calendar:
> Wed 2/26 at Weston ski track:
- 6:30 pm: pre-Festival practice
- 7:15 pm (approx.): Caregivers/skiers meeting led by Coach Stock
- Label skis* using the specific instructions found here
- Prep skis* (the following is an overview, full instructions are here):
- remove klister or hard/kick wax from skis used for classic
- remove glide wax from skate skis and from tips/tails of classic skis
- apply fresh glide wax to skate skis and tips/tails of classic skis
* alternatively, you can do this at home if you have the necessary tools
> Fri 2/28: plan to arrive by evening so you're ready for the early start on Sat
> Sat 3/1 and Sun 3/2: BKL Festival
> Sat 3/1, 5-6:45pm: Club Dinner and Meeting at Page Commons in Cotter Union at Colby College. $30/person RSVP here by Wed Feb 19
How to prepare:
- Complete this form to (1) let wax team know what equipment you will bring; (2) sign up for the team dinner; (3) share your contact info for communications during Festival
- Sign up for your volunteer role(s) (required)
- Sign up to bring food to share at Festival (required)
