Q: We’re new to EMXC. Can we come? A: Yes! Please join us. This is a great opportunity to get to know other EMXC families
Q: I don’t know how to ski. Can I still come? A: Absolutely! We will do our best to choose a venue that offers ski lessons. Waterville Valley is our likely destination, and they do offer lessons.
Q: What if I don’t have equipment? A: No problem. Rent skis at Waterville Valley, or bring rentals from Weston.

EMXC Youth Carnival

Low-key races, family fun ski, meet the EMXC Junior Rabbits, followed by face painting, crafts, games, snacks, beverages and more!

There are two skiing options for our EMXC skiers:

Option 1: EMXC Sprints!

What is it? Low-key, short distance, skate races just for our club. This is a fun way for kids to try racing in a low-pressure environment during a very short race (about 1.5 minutes to 4 minutes, depending on age). Each skier gets to complete the race course twice.

When is it? Registration is 7:15-7:45am, and races run 8-10am. Each skier will have the chance to race the course twice.

OR

Option 2: EMXC Family Fun Ski (formerly the "Lollipop" race)

What is it? Skiers who prefer not to have a timed race can ski, along with their families if they would like, while the club cheers them on. Siblings of EMXC skiers can also participate in this fun course!

When is it? Family Fun Ski will take place between the two Sprint races at approximately 9am. The Family Fun Ski is designed for our youngest skiers.

How do I register for the Family Fun Ski? No need! Just show up on time and ski!

Post-race fun: from 10-11am we have some fun activities, crafts, snacks, and games to celebrate our club.

Awards: if results are available, we’ll announce awards at 11am.
Volunteer: In order to make this event run smoothly, we rely on volunteers to fill various roles.
