Everyone loves racing, music, fun and games. You can have all of this while helping protect our snow at the Eighth Annual Race for Snow!

Since 2017, The Race for Snow has been run by EMXC Juniors with the goal of raising money for climate change mitigation. This year, the 8th annual Race For Snow is taking place on Saturday, February 8th. Register for the event here. This is a fun, community race that provides a great opportunity to get more racing time and the chance to win awesome prizes. This race is also part of the Zak Cup race series, which means that it will score points for teams for NENSA’s Club Cup.

We encourage all EMXC Juniors and EMXC Youth to participate or volunteer!

This is an event for EVERYONE, including family members. The freestyle races will include:

  • Lollipop Race (Kindergarten and younger)
  • 1k Race (1st and 2nd graders)
  • 2k Race (3rd through 5th graders)
  • 3K Race (6th through 8th graders)
  • 5km and 10km Races for women and men—parents can race too!

All proceeds of the Seventh Annual Race for Snow will go to Protect Our Winters, which has fought climate change since 2007 by giving an authentic voice to the outdoor sports community by engaging pro athletes and enthusiasts alike to face the fossil fuel lobby in an unpolitical fashion. We chose to support this organization because our donations are able to go further in enacting change when we give to a genuine organization with big plans, a vision, and high success. We hope that by including more of the youth athletes and introducing them to POW at a younger age, they will have the opportunity to become involved in the nordic community earlier on and develop a passion for protecting our New England Winters.

Another way you can help is with our awesome online auction, and great raffle and race prizes ranging from Patagonia goodies to spa nights, all thanks to our sponsors! Go to the Race for Snow website for more information! If you would like to make a donation directly to Protect Our Winters, you can do so through the Race For Snow fundraising page on the Protect Our Winters website. Our Instagram page is also always up to date with new information, so follow us at @raceforsnow.

Again, the race will take place on February 8th. Register for the event here. It's an amazing event and we really hope to see you there!

(If your kids aren't sure about racing yet, we will have day-of registration at the EMXC Youth Sprints and at the event.)
