Heath's Bridge Clean-Up
October 14, 2022
As part of an effort to give back and to the areas in which we rollerski, immediately AFTER Heath's Bridge practice on Saturday, October 22 we are planning an "old school" strength workout: installing trail markers, cutting and moving brush piles, and removing invasive species from along trails. This is an opportunity to create some good-will with the neighbors there, as well as to learn a little more about the plants and ecology of the environment we sometimes train in.
All parents and athletes are encouraged to pitch in and to help out - it should be fun! We will have food and water so that folks stay fueled up between workouts.
Please come with a long sleeve shirt to put on (and long pants if you want them) as well as sneakers or other good foot-wear. Bring work-gloves if you have them (we will provide disposable gloves for those who do not). If you have clippers, shovels, saws, or post-hole diggers those will be helpful as well.
With everyone pitching in we can get a lot done! Thanks to Cecile, Kris, Josh, and the Outreach Team for organizing this!
